Certec is a privately owned New Zealand business. It was formed in 1992 from the purchase of Ceramic Engineering by Clark Potteries with Gary Upchurch, the current CEO. The business is a specialist Ceramic Engineering Company known for its development skills and innovative approach to difficult ceramic product production. The company moved to its purpose-built factory in 1994, situated on Rosebank Road in Auckland. The founder purchased the business in 2004 and returned it to family ownership with his son Bevan, who joined Certec with extensive experience in outside industries.
